Conditions of Entry
Entries must be an original piece of visual art based on traditional Celtic symbols or imagery. This may be presented in either a figurative or abstract form.
Open to all mediums eg sculpture, photography, painting, digital, glass, fabric, woodwork & so on.
Artists resident in Tasmanian only.
Application fee is $20 for each entry payable when the work is delivered to the Westbury venue.
Up to three entries per person.
Age limited to 16 years and above.
Pieces should not have been entered in the Celtic Art Award before.
The artist is responsibility for artwork delivery to and collection from the Westbury venue. Details of the venue & times will be supplied closer to the Exhibition.
The Westbury St Patrick's Festival reserves the right to utilise images of artworks entered in the competition for publicity and promotional purposes only.
Selection Process
All entries will be subject to an adjudication process where an experienced panel will judge the works. Further details will be circulated closer to the event.
Entries will be exhibited at the Westbury venue during the Westbury St Patrick's Festival, 18-19 March 2011.
Winners will be announced at an evening function at the venue on Friday 18 March 2010. The selection panel's decision shall be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
Method of Entry
Please complete and submit the attached entry form by 1 March 2011.
All entered artists will receive an information package in early March 2011 advising full details of the adjudication process.
Sales
It is the artist’s choice and responsibility if they wish to sell their work during the Celtic Art Award exhibition. An artwork’s price can be included in the Artist’s Statement displayed alongside their work along with the artist’s contact number
