 IRISH MUSIC AWARDS         7.30pm Westbury RSL

The Irish Music Awards have become a feature of the festival, and have now become the opening event for the Westbury St Patrick’s Festival.  A great night’s entertainment, featuring many of Tasmania’s up and coming talent. 

Prizes for Top Instrumentalist, Top Singer and People’s Choice

Admission $10 Adult, $5 Child 9-16

 

Saturday 15th March ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 FESTIVAL FAMILY DAY      10 am – 5pm Village Green

Top class Irish music and dance, Concert on the Green with Special Guests, Peggy Seeger, Ado and Kate (Trouble in the Kitchen), and a great line up of top Tasmanian talent. Street parade, stalls, children’s entertainment, Giant Pumpkin competition, Maypole dancing, great food, instrument makers display, Guinness, church market. 

Admission $10 Adult, $5 Child 9-16 

 

 CELTIC ART AWARD         10 am – 5pm at the WHITE HOUSE on the Village Green  

Once again the historic White House at the southern end of the Village Green will be the venue for the Celtic Art Award. These Celtic inspired artworks are in many mediums and styles. Festival Family Day patrons get free admission to the art exhibition and to the fascinating White House museum, and are invited to vote on the People’s Choice Award.  On Sunday entry is by a Gold Coin donation.

 EVENING CONCERT        7.30pm Westbury Town Hall

An event not to be missed - featuring Peggy Seeger, Kate Burke, Ado Barker and the winners of Friday’s Award Concert.  Refreshments available. 

Admission $10 Adult, $5 Child 9-16

 

Sunday 16th March -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 TRADITIONAL DAY               From 9am on the Village Green  

9am Breakfast on the Village Green

10am Irish dance and Instrument workshops for beginners and intermediates

$2 donation

BBQ lunch

Afternoon of local music

Admission FREE
