The Festival is built on the Celtic music, dance, and art programs of previous years with the traditional Village Green activities. New events are planned and the format is being continually reviewed to improve the Festival for all.
Festival also hosts the Celtic Art Award. This Award for Tasmanian artists aims to celebrate the spirit of Celtic culture in a contemporary setting while retaining links to a traditional Celtic heritage.
The submitted pieces are displayed to Festival goers at the White House - and entry to this fascinating historical building complex and museum is included in the price of the Festival on the Green entry Saturday.
Festival Day includes entertainment for the kids with a range of children's activities including face painting, and a jumping castle Stroll through our historic township and enjoy the breathtaking scenery and family friendly atmosphere.
